2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Wow talk about a cool looking SUV. The Toyota FJ Cruiser has taken styling to a new level. This coming from a company that has already sold hundreds of thousands of Land Cruisers worldwide.

From first look it seems they have a winning combination of looks, power and functionality.

Lets take a look at what you can get with an FJ Cruiser and how much it will cost us.

Interesting a four-liter V-6 that produces a tad bit more then two hundred and forty horsepower. That sounds a bit disappointing let’s check on the torque two hundred and eight yikes why so little you ask?

Think about it how often are you really going to go four wheeling? The reason Toyota selected a four liter is for gas mileage. The design of a majority of Toyotas engines is based on high “RPMs” (Revolutions per minute) meaning they get their power high in RPM band. This helps in a number of ways. First it helps because an engine built for a higher maximum redline will last longer. The second is you get better gas mileage because the engine runs at a lower RPM when driving sustained speeds.

Very interesting design and choice of engines, lets see what options are available. Wow, Toyota did it this time. Standard equipment includes Air condition, CD player, traction control, brake balancing and assist. As is usually the case Toyota includes all the standard safety features including dual front air bags and more available as options.

What surprises me the most about the FJ Cruiser is the rumored price tag. A starting point of between twenty-five and thirty thousand dollars. That for a long lasting dependable four-wheel drive with all the bells and whistles is a steal.

It looks like the Toyota FJ Cruiser is going to the top of my things I want to buy list.
